Mr. Mom. That’s me. My daughter calls me Mama and
although many people objected to it, it was her decision. It doesn’t make me
any less of a mother or person, because that is exactly what I was and am to
her. A Mother who is a man, because “you don’t have boobies mama” Gender is an
absolute, but how you use it is up to you. I don’t identify daily that I am a
man, I have many female qualities and characteristics. What I decide to do with
that is entirely up to me. As is what my child decides to call me. My situation
is different and dynamic. Life is full of rainbows that need nurturing and
mouths that need learn the vow of silence. If people actually stopped to smell
the roses it might remind them that, life if lived, is beautiful and new around
every corner. If you simply treat people they way you would like to be treated,
maybe then you wouldn’t have to kill anyone with kindness, because it would be
kindness incarnate.
On a day dedicated to Mothers, celebrate every kind
there is. Just because I didn’t carry her in my nonexistent womb for 9 months,
when she arrived I had every natural mothering instinct a woman would. Just be
mindful of the people you are sharing this earth with. Be kind because you want
to, Love because it’s easy, and speak truths as if your life depends upon it.
Stop being shitty humans!
